New to Dr. Ashley
Family Chiropractic?
Welcome—you’re in the right place.
Whether you're expecting, navigating life postpartum, or looking for care for your kiddo, we’re so glad you’re here. We know stepping into a new office (especially with little ones in tow!) can feel like a lot. Our goal? To make it easy, comfortable, and even fun. Yep, we said it!
What to Expect at Your First Visit
1. A Warm Welcome
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with a smile and a space that’s warm, calming, and thoughtfully designed for families. Littles can play, snack, or explore while you settle in.
2. One-on-One Connection
You’ll sit down with one of our doctors—Dr. Ashley or Dr. Kallan—for a thoughtful conversation about your health, goals, and what brought you in. We listen deeply, because you and your story matter.
3. Gentle, Specific Chiropractic Care
We’ll do a hands-on exam tailored to your age and stage. If it’s clinically appropriate, you’ll receive your first adjustment the same day. Our techniques are safe, effective, and customized for everyone—from newborns to grown-ups.
4. Next Steps
We’ll walk you through what we found, outline a personalized care plan, and schedule any necessary follow-ups. You’ll leave feeling clear, supported, and empowered.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes! We are in-network with several major insurance plans and also offer self-pay options for families without coverage or those who choose not to use their insurance. We’re happy to verify your benefits before your first visit—just give us a call. You’re also welcome to call your insurance company directly to check your chiropractic benefits.
-
Absolutely—please do! This space was built with families in mind. We love having your little ones here.
-
Plan for about 45 minutes. We never rush your first experience with us.
-
Something comfy! You’ll stay fully dressed for your adjustment. No need to dress up—just be yourself.
-
If it’s safe and clinically appropriate, yes. In some cases—especially with complex cases or elevated stress—we may recommend beginning care at a second visit. Either way, you’ll feel confident in the plan moving forward.
-
Care plans vary depending on your goals, history, and what’s going on in your nervous system. After your first visit, we’ll walk you through what we found and recommend a care plan that supports your goals and helps your body heal, function, and thrive.
-
Absolutely. Pediatric chiropractic care uses gentle, specific techniques — no cracking, popping, or forceful adjustments. Our doctors are trained and experienced in caring for little ones safely and effectively.
-
We see babies as early as a few days old! In fact, the sooner we can gently assess and support their nervous system after birth, the better. Birth—no matter how smooth or complicated—is a big transition for baby (and for you). We use gentle, specific techniques that are safe for even the tiniest newborns. Whether it’s for latch challenges, tension from birth, or just to give baby the best start, we’re here when you’re ready.
-
Yes — and highly recommended! We use the Webster Technique, a gentle and specific method to balance the joints, muscles and ligaments of the pelvis and nervous system during pregnancy. Many moms find it helps with comfort, baby positioning, and overall birth prep.
-
Yes—and we believe it’s one of the most important times to receive care. From neck and upper back pain from nursing or baby-wearing to emotional overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation, chiropractic and CST can help your body recover, restore, and rebalance. You don’t have to do this season alone.
-
As soon as you’re ready! Some moms come in within the first week postpartum, especially if they’re experiencing discomfort, latch issues, or just want early support. If things are going smoothly, we often recommend a check-in around the 2-week mark to assess how your body is healing and support your nervous system through this major transition.
We modify everything to honor your postpartum body—whether you had a vaginal delivery or a C-section. Care is gentle, specific, and tailored to help you recover, rebalance, and feel more like yourself again.
-
Totally fine—we expect it! This is a family-focused office, and you’ll never need to apologize for feeding, soothing, or tending to your little one. If possible, we recommend feeding your baby shortly before the visit so they’re relaxed and comfortable during care—but we’ll always follow their lead.
-
CST is a gentle, hands-on technique that helps calm the nervous system and release tension stored in the body. We use it often with babies (for birth tension, latch issues, colic, torticollis, or flat head syndrome), during pregnancy and postpartum (for anxiety, headaches, and stress regulation), and with adults experiencing TMJ, migraines, or chronic stress. It pairs beautifully with chiropractic care and is tailored to what your body needs most.
-
We specialize in prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric chiropractic—but we care for the whole family. Dads and partners are a big part of our community, too.
